Kabalan El Ahmadieh
It is important to know what we really want out of life and go after it. Exploring growth, committing to self development, and improving our standards of living, requires an inordinate amount of energy, dedication, education, experience, and personal sacrifice. The challenge is to always keep our life in balance, especially in our days of abundance.
Improving the standard of living needs an enhancement in the quality of life and not the opposite, because by the end we are judged by the standard of life and not by the standard of living. Living life with values, character, honesty, integrity and sensitivity, play such an important part on what we do.
Our Tawheed Faith commands us to have a truthful tongue, the first and greatest of virtues. If we have integrity, we do the right thing without having any guilt. In this case we will have nothing to hide, which means that we will have nothing to fear. So, if we get fear and guilt off our mind, we can do so many things, because it is fear, anger, and inner conflict that throw us off balance. We cannot be defeated by anything if we have the peace of mind which definitely generates power. “You are good when you work to your goal firmly and with bold steps” (Gibran).
If we are consistent in our life, people depend on us. When we show constant integrity by saying and doing the same things, our reputation and our character shine through. The qualities that make us great husbands, fathers, wives, or mothers, are the same qualities that are so critical on the job. As a matter of fact, our personal life affects our family life and our business life, which by the end affects us mentally and spiritually and brings balance to our life.
In addition, faith is also vital for success. We cannot separate our faith from our actions or our belief from our profession. Faith and fear cannot coexist and courage is the base of whatever we do. A fearless person thrives on far horizons, because there is a relationship between faith, prosperity, confidence and security.
Money is important in our life and sometimes it is reasonably close to Oxygen. When we need it, we really need it. However, there are many things that money couldn’t buy. For example, money can buy a house, but it won’t buy a home, it buys bed but not good sleep, and for sure it will not buy a peace of mind.
The maintenance of a sound spiritual and emotional life is an important factor in the enjoyment of forceful personality. Spiritual experience gives us a new set of positive thoughts. It absolutely changes us. It affects our ethics, the way we treat people around us, and almost every facet of our life. Besides, if we develop a tremendous faith in God, that will give us a humble and yet soundly realistic faith in ourselves. “You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance” (Gibran).
Our definite major goal in life, what we want and where we want to go, is a personal decision. Disciplining ourselves could well be the most important thing we will ever undertake, and it could be the biggest favor we have ever done for ourselves. Focus on your personal and life values, and experience more abundance life with all of its fullness.
