In the name of God, gracious and compassionate

God in His glory said to Adam and to Eve, "There are ten endeavors which you will initiate and I will complement:

You shall toil and I shall assist

You shall request and I shall give

You shall trust and I shall assure

You shall beseech and I shall respond

You shall ask and I shall fulfill

You shall repent and I shall forgive

You shall thank and I shall bless

You shall strive and I shall uphold

You shall accept and I shall enlighten, and

You shall endure and I shall deliver.

So-be-it

Dear Lord Help me to be:

A little less impatient with those I deem too slow;

A little less arrogant because of all I know;

A little more humble, seeing my worth is slight;

I am a trivial candle compared to the stars of night.

A little more forgiving and swifter to be kind;

A little more desiring the word of good to find;

The word of praise to utter and make a heart rejoice;

A little bit more careful to speak with a gentle voice.

A little more eager to truly understand each other;

A little more striving to really help a shipwrecked brother;

A little more courageous for tasks that must be done;

Help me Oh God and help everyone.
