Personal Prayers

Oh God! If I worship You because of my fear of Hell’s fire, burn me in it.

And if I worship You because of my desire to be in paradise, deprive me of it.

But if I worship You because of my love for You, then I beseech You to

bring me closer to You and deprive me not of Your grace.

So-be-it

Dear Lord! Grant me the favor of Your four mercies;

the straightening of my path

the illumination of my mind

the forgiving of my sins, and

the serenity of my spirit.
